Bold, Modern, International Kitchen Remodel: Our Clients wanted to completely modernize their dated honey oak kitchen and open up the space to the adjacent dining room. The goal was to create a minimalist, clean, family-friendly living space that would become the hub of the home. MPG reconfigured the floor plan and designed a new kitchen including: White oak, oil-finished floors, new island configuration, interior finishes with white perimeter cabinets, a farm sink and white backsplash tiles all centered on a new window with views to the backyard. We also added custom black ebony stained white oak cabinets that accentuated the unique grain of the wood species. To add texture and movement, we topped the counters with a subtly veined white quartz that is complemented by stainless steel Thermador appliances. For storage, we reimagined a coat closet to become a walk-in pantry. The staircase entering the kitchen was stained black along with updated balusters and rails. The final look offers bold and bright contrast that speak to the Client’s diverse multi-national origins. Photography by Homestills.io
